Sign a Petition

Your signature on an official referendum petition counts toward the 2,850 signatures needed per measure. All signatures must be original, hand-written in blue or black ink, on official petition forms to comply with South Carolina law.

Requirements:

  • Must be a registered voter in Williamsburg County
  • Signature must be hand-written in blue or black ink
  • Must use official petition form
  • Can sign multiple petition measures if desired

Digital signatures and typed names are not accepted. All petitions must be completed with original signatures.

Deadline: Signatures must be submitted within 180 days.

How to Sign a Petition

Bring ID

Bring a valid voter ID or state-issued ID to verify you're a registered voter in Williamsburg County.

Submit Forms

Return the signed forms to an authorized circulator. Your signature counts toward the 2,850 signatures needed per referendum.

Authorized volunteer circulators collect signatures in person from registered voters. This is powerful, direct action—you're helping gather the foundation needed to put these referendums on the ballot.
